BioSafety Cabinet

Biosafety Cabinets (BSCs) are enclosed workspaces with a ventilated hood that is designed to contain pathogenic microorganisms during microbiological processes.

They are supplied at customer-site in a prefabric condition & customer need to be check the pass through standard sized doorways for chambers. The installation & commissioning is accompanied with IQ, OQ, PQ protocols & complete documentation.

Salient Features:
a) A front access opening with careful maintained inward airflow. An internal blower draws sufficient room air through front grill to maintain a minimum calculated or measured average FPM at the face opening of the cabinet.
b) The contaminated air is drawn by the blower through the plenum of the cabinet, were approximately 70% of the air recirculated through the HEPA filter back to the work area, 30% of the air is exhausted from a common plenum at the top through a HEPA filter.
c) Room air enters through a blower / motor passes through a pre-filter in to the work area as the vertical unidirectional airflow.
d) HEPA filter exhaust air in Type A2 cabinet maybe recirculated into the room or exhausted to the outdoors through a canopy exhaust connection.
e) HEPA filter having efficiency rating as high as 99.99% with cold DOP & 99.97% with hot DOP, thus retaining all air-borne particles of size 0.3 micro and larger.
f) Negative pressure surrounds the work area and maintains inward air flow in chamber.
g) Aerodynamics air flow grill maintains safety and prevents blockage.
h) High efficiency pre-filter use increases the life of HEPA filter.
j) Unit has UV germicidal light for sterilization and fluorescent lamp for illumination.
